Summerlin News Update

There will be three new schools opening in Summerlin this year.

Bishop Gorman Catholic High School  the school is relocating from Maryland Parkway where it has been for 50 years.  The new school in the Mesa Village of Summerlin is 187,000 sq. foot school set on a 35 acre campus.   The high school is a co-ed Catholic college preparatory school students from 9-12 grade.  It will include a 200 seat chapel, state of the art technology center and research library.  There will be art facilities and a performing arts center.  Athletic facilities capable of hosting competitive events for the school and will be able to search the surrounding community.   The school will be ready for the 2007-2008 school year. 

Dr. Miriam and Sheldon G. Adelson School  the valley's first Jewish High School will open the Hills Village and will be open in the fall of 2007.

Wilbur and Theresa Faiss Middle School  will open in the southwest region of Summerlin for the 2007-2008 school year.

By the end of 2007 the number of schools in Summerlin will total 22.
