Summerlin Villiages
Summerlin is a master-planned community of nearly 23,000 acres on the western edge of the Las Vegas Valley stretching from Cheynne Avenue on the north to Warm Springs on the south and reaching into the foothills of the Spring Mountains on the west. The portion situated north of Charleston Boulevard containing 16,362 acres has been annexed in the City of Las Vegas. The rest of Summerlin's 6,138 acres is within unincorporated Clark County.
The Summerlin Villages
Summerlin has been divided into villages each with it's own unique character.
The Hills
The Hills village contains:
The Howard Hughs Educational Park. This consists of William R. Lummis Elementary School,Earnest A. Becker, Sr. Middle School, and the Milton I. Schwartz Hebrew Academy, a private school for kindergarten through the eight grade. Adjacent to the Lummis and Becker schools is The Hills Park, an active recreation center. It has an open-lawn amphitheater and stage. Two lighted tennis courts, half court basketball and a sand volleyball area. The Hills also sports a spray fountain,picnic pavilions and ramadas,restrooms and a children's playground.
The Hills South contains:
Single family, multi-family as well as three custom neighborhoods. The Hills Village Center houses the Summerlin Library and Performing Arts Center. The Plaza at Summerlin office park,Nevada Ballet Theater, and the Hills Center Business Park at Summerlin. The Tournnament Players Club is a private 18-hole golf, tennis and is the home of the annual PGA Las Vegas Invitational Golf Tournament. The Hills South is also home to a dental institute, an office complex, a day care center, and two house of worship.
The Pueblo is a mixed-use residential village best known for its almost 62-acre linear park that offers walkers, joggers and cyclists some of the most beautiful desert scenery in Southern Nevada. In addition to multiple trails, The Pueblo Park includes a desert interpretive garden, a basketball court, and two active play areas. The Pueblo Park is currently owned, maintained, programmed and operated by the City of Las Vegas.
A 570-acre village, The Pueblo features single- and multi-family neighborhoods and is home to three schools: The Meadows School, a private, nonprofit pre-school, elementary and secondary college preparatory school, Richard H. Bryan Elementary School, and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School.
The Pueblo is also home to two houses of worship: the Summerlin Evangelical Lutheran Church and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
The Pueblo Shopping Center is located on Lake Mead Blvd. east of Rampart and The Pueblo Medical Center, which includes an urgent care facility and more than 70 physicians in private practice, is directly adjacent.
Seville Terrace, an assisted living community, and Carefree Senior Living, a senior rental apartment complex, are in the northwestern portion of the village.
