3 New Schools Ready to Open
Three New Schools to Open for
2007-2008 School Year
Two private and one public school will open in Summerlin for the upcoming
school year. Bishop Gorman High School, Southern Nevada’s largest and
oldest private Catholic high school, has moved its long-time downtown Las
Vegas campus to The Mesa village. The Adelson School, Nevada’s first
Jewish High School, opens adjacent to affiliated Milton I. Schwartz Hebrew
Academy in The Trails village. And Wilbur and Theresa Faiss Middle
School, a public school and Summerlin’s third middle school, opens south of
The Mesa village. In total, Summerlin is now home to 22 public and private
schools – more than any other Southern Nevada community.
